Napper vs MamaBee: Is Napper Worth It in 2026?
Short answer: if your baby's sleep is the main problem, Napper is the specialist. Its nap predictions are widely praised and it adds a sleep course and sounds, from $69.99 a year. If you want one tracker for everything, free, with nap prediction as an optional $49.99-a-year upgrade, MamaBee fits better.
We make MamaBee, and we'll say it plainly: on sleep alone, Napper is the more mature product. It launched in Stockholm in 2019, it carries Apple's Editors' Choice badge, and its 4,600 US ratings average 4.9 stars. Napper says it's used by more than 100,000 families. This comparison is about whether you need a sleep specialist or an all-in-one tracker.

What Napper does best
Nap predictions people trust. In the 50 most recent UK App Store reviews we read (Apple's US review feed was unavailable), around 20 praised the accuracy of Napper's nap and bedtime predictions, some saying they land "to the minute".
A sleep programme, not just a log. Paid plans include a sleep course, 30+ sleep sounds, trends and statistics. On iOS 27 it can even show the next nap in Spotlight.
The whole family on one subscription. Unlimited caregivers share one plan, so grandparents and a nanny can log at no extra cost.
More devices and languages. Napper has an Apple Watch app, an Android app with more than a million downloads, and 20 languages.
Where Napper stops
The free tier is small. Napper's pricing page lists daily sleep tracking and an age-based schedule as free. Predictions, the course, sounds, trends, and "unlimited tracking and tracking categories" need a paid plan.
The pricing is hard to read. The US App Store lists Unlimited, Sleep and Complete plans, from $69.99 to $129.99 a year, with monthly options up to $19.99. The 7-day free trial applies to the annual plan only.
Sleep comes first, everything else second. It logs nursing, formula, diapers and medicine. We couldn't find documented growth charts, milestones, vaccine schedules or data export, so if those matter to you, check in the app.
Some upsell friction. Several UK reviewers in 2026 complained about basic features moving behind the paywall and a forced upgrade screen. A few said its wake windows ran long during sleep regressions.
Privacy. Napper's App Store label lists identifiers under "Data Used to Track You", and purchases, coarse location, email, device ID and usage data as linked to you.
Where MamaBee is different
Everything in one free tracker. Sleep with a one-tap nap timer and wake windows, breastfeeding, bottles and pumping, diapers, growth with WHO percentiles, temperature, medicine, symptoms, doctor visits, vaccines and 45+ CDC milestones. Two caregivers sync free, and there are no ads on any tier.
Nap prediction for less. Sleep Coach learns your baby's rhythm from their own sleep history and predicts the next nap window. It's part of Premium at $49.99 a year, which also includes unlimited Bee AI chat, the Solid Food Allergen Test, multi-baby sync and 30, 90 and 365-day insights.
Free export for your pediatrician. CSV, JSON and a PDF summary of the last week, at no cost.
Local-first privacy. Logs stay on your iPhone unless you switch on Co-Parent Sharing. We never sell data or use it to train outside AI.

One free tracker for feeds, sleep and health, with nap prediction when you want it.
